MotoRoutes is a community-driven platform for sharing, discovering, and planning motorcycle routes across Europe. The service includes:
- Uploading and sharing motorcycle routes with GPX data
- A route planner tool for drawing routes on a map
- Browsing, rating, and commenting on community routes
- Downloading GPX files for personal navigation use
3. User Accounts
To upload routes, save planned routes, rate, or comment, you must create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Providing accurate and truthful information during registration
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. User-Generated Content
By uploading routes, photos, comments, or any other content to MotoRoutes, you:
- Retain ownership of your original content
- Grant MotoRoutes a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and make your content available to other users on the platform
- Confirm that your content does not infringe on any third-party rights
- Agree that your content may be displayed alongside community ratings and comments
5. GPX Data and Route Information
Routes and GPX files shared on MotoRoutes are contributed by the community for personal, non-commercial use. You agree to the following:
- Personal use only: Downloaded GPX files are for your personal navigation and route planning. You may not redistribute, resell, or re-publish GPX data obtained from MotoRoutes on any other website, application, or service.
- No bulk downloading: Automated scraping, crawling, or bulk downloading of route data or GPX files is strictly prohibited.
- Attribution required: If you reference a route from MotoRoutes publicly (e.g., in a blog post or social media), you must credit MotoRoutes and link back to the original route page.
- Watermarking: All downloaded GPX files contain metadata identifying the source and the user who downloaded them. Removal of this metadata is prohibited.
- No commercial use: You may not use route data from MotoRoutes for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to: selling routes, incorporating them into paid products, or using them in competing services.
6. Prohibited Conduct
When using MotoRoutes, you agree not to:
- Use automated tools to scrape or download content in bulk
- Redistribute or republish GPX data on other platforms without permission
- Upload malicious files, spam, or misleading content
- Impersonate other users or misrepresent your identity
- Circumvent any security or access controls on the platform
- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other community members
7. Intellectual Property
The MotoRoutes platform, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is the property of MotoRoutes and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Community-contributed route data is licensed for use on the platform as described in Section 4.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
MotoRoutes is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any route information
- That routes are safe, legal, or suitable for your motorcycle or skill level
- Uninterrupted or error-free service availability
You ride at your own risk. Always verify road conditions, legal restrictions, and safety before following any route. MotoRoutes is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from following routes found on the platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MotoRoutes and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or data loss.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform. Your continued use of MotoRoutes after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable national law of the service operator's jurisdiction.
